Difference between Residential and Commercial LED Light strings:
LED Commercial Christmas lights strings have a two prong type screw down ends and made with 20 gauge wire.
The Residential Lights have male/female ends. As to the construction and technology both the residential and comm. light strings are full wave (no flicker-brighter), same injected, molded, sealed units. Residential is made with 22 gauge wire.
Basically the main difference is the ends. Commercial LEDs are great for Outdoor Christmas Tree Lights.
